Now to the Heart of the Problem

All Ready for a Reno

Kitchen Cupboards...
Total Recall!!!

Water damage from leak around the vent.

Floor should present some major engineering problems!!

Doesn't look too bad overall which was a major reason I bought it...wanted it to go on a road trip with Ethan and Aya this summer.

The closet is good and the door works!

Nice padded seat!!!

The bathroom is not much used and in great condition, ready for a good cleaning...there is some glue residue from various stick on hangers that will have to come off the walls.

Overhead storage cabinets...maybe just some glue and a darn good polishing

THE CREW????
Where's Richard?

THE PLAN
1. The floor.
-I'm not too sure we can get the stick on tiles off without a major fight, so I hope that some underlay and a cork floor can be laid.
2. The kitchen cabinet.
- What's to say...it is just a mess. Hope this part will show off Richard's cabinetry skills. There was water damage to the top cupboard and the cabinets are covered in some sort of vinyl that is impossible to refinish.
3. Other cabinets.
- The first thing I am going to try is a bit of glue on the edges that are coming away and a THOROUGH CLEANING with "Armoural". I don't want to change too much of that 70's ambience as I think I will replace the existing curtains with Merimekko print.
4. Bathroom and Fridg actually look like they just need a real good cleaning. The padded seat on the marine toilet is like new.
5. Stove
- The cover is worn but may leave it with just a good polishing as it is a bright blue that would not be easily replaceable.

Bringing baby home

Thought I should include the epic trip home on December 31th, 2007. I was pretty excited and thankfully it warmed up for the trip. I've made it to the rest stop before Lee's corner and stopped to check the hitch...notice how even it sits on the truck...that was just a neat little bonus!

Lizzie's Boler Home

Well, it was finally warm enough yeserday to inspire me to go and rip out the three layers of lino from the 1979 Boler trailer I bought at Christmas. While I was at it I also removed the front Gaucho and am looking reluctantly at the kitchen area as well. All the appliancs work but...oh my, the carpentry that has occurred over the last thiry years of this RV's existence is just "Gawd Awful." Guess I'll assess the real extent of the reno tomorrow and compile a list. 19/03/08
